Start from the pipette: it decides the tip fit and length. Then choose the volume, whether you need a filter, and the packaging.
Step 1: Fit: universal or Rainin
Universal tips are made for common manual air-displacement pipettes. Fit still varies between pipette models, so test a pack before ordering in bulk. Tips for Rainin pipettes fit Rainin's own cone. Check the part number against your pipette. EROHE is not affiliated with Rainin.

Long tips reach the bottom of deep tubes and narrow vessels. Tip colour has no effect on accuracy; it only helps tell sizes apart.
Step 3: Filter or low retention
- Filter tips stop aerosols and liquid reaching the pipette shaft. Use them for PCR, qPCR, radioactive or infectious samples.
- Low retention tips leave less liquid on the tip wall. They help with viscous liquids, detergents and protein solutions.
- DNase/RNase-free tips are tested free of nucleases, for PCR and other molecular biology work.

Questions buyers ask
Are universal tips really universal?
They are made for the most common manual pipette types, but cone shapes differ between brands and models. Test the fit and seal on your pipette before ordering in bulk.
When should I use long tips?
Long tips (46 mm for 10 µl, 59 mm and 89 mm for larger volumes) reach the bottom of deep tubes, narrow vessels and tall vials.
What does graduated mean on a tip?
Graduated tips have printed volume marks, so you can check the drawn volume by eye.
Racked or bagged tips?
Racked tips are ready to pick up. Bags cost less per tip and suit labs that rack tips themselves.
